## How videos reach TikTok

PostFlow posts in one of two ways, depending on the account and PostFlow's TikTok access:

| Mode | What happens | Target status |
|---|---|---|
| **Inbox draft** | The video lands in the creator's TikTok inbox. They add a sound if they like and post it in the app. PostFlow then finds the published video (matching caption first, then time) and marks it published. | `handed_off` → `published` |
| **Direct post** | Published straight to the profile with the chosen privacy and settings. TikTok Business accounts always post directly. | `published` |

## Before posting: creator settings

TikTok requires the creator to choose who can see each post, from the options their account allows, with no default. Read
them with [`GET /accounts/{id}/tiktok-creator-info`](/api/operations/gettiktokcreatorinfo/) (MCP: `get_tiktok_creator_info`):

## Options

| Option | Notes |
|---|---|
| `tiktok.privacyLevel` | One of `privacyLevelOptions`. Required for direct posts and photo posts. |
| `tiktok.disableComment`, `disableDuet`, `disableStitch` | Only if the creator hasn't already turned them off. |
| `tiktok.brandOrganic`, `brandContent` | Commercial content disclosure: promoting your own brand, or paid partnership. |
| `tiktok.autoAddMusic` | Photo posts: let TikTok add music. |
| `tiktok.music` | Business accounts: a Commercial Music Library track from [`GET /accounts/{id}/tiktok-music`](/api/operations/listtiktokmusic/), with `volume` and `originalVolume` (0–100). |
| `cover.offsetMs` | Direct video posts: the cover frame. |

No first comments: TikTok doesn't let apps comment.

Views, likes, comments and shares; reach for Business accounts. Inbox drafts get metrics once PostFlow finds the published video.
